Photoshop Course Description
This course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to Adobe Photoshop, the industry-standard software for digital imaging, graphic design, and visual content creation. Students will learn essential skills including photo editing, retouching, color correction, advanced selections, masking, digital compositing, typography, and creative design techniques. Through hands-on projects and real-world assignments, learners will gain experience designing posters, social media graphics, digital artwork, and high-quality visual content. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently navigate the Photoshop workspace, apply non-destructive editing workflows, and create professional-level graphics suitable for print, web, and multimedia production.

Semester A
Learners will gain hands-on experience with Photoshop’s powerful tools, including layers, masking, retouching, compositing, typography, digital painting, and color correction. Through guided projects, students will explore the principles of layout, visual hierarchy, contrast, and branding while developing the technical skills needed to turn creative concepts into visually compelling designs.
Semester B
As the course progresses, students will complete real-world design assignments such as social media graphics, promotional ads, posters, photo manipulations, and custom digital artwork. Emphasis is placed on creativity, problem-solving, and understanding how design influences communication in today’s digital landscape. By the end of the course, students will have a polished portfolio of work and the confidence to apply industry-standard Photoshop techniques in professional, academic, or freelance settings.
